ingredients
CRANBERRY CRUMBLE
1/2 cup butter (melted, plus additional for greasing)
1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
3/4 cup oats
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups fresh cranberries
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup water
1/2 cup walnuts (chopped)
whipped topping or ice cream (optional)

directions
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Lightly grease the bottom of a 9×9-inch square pan with butter.
Combine brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, flour and butter mixing to combine. Press half of the mixture into pan. Rinse cranberries, drain, and scatter over crust.
In a small saucepan add the sugar and cornstarch and slowly stir in the water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 1-2 minutes. Pour over cranberries. Add the walnuts to the remaining oat mixture and mix to combine. Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the cranberries and sauce.
Bake for one hour until golden brown and bubbling. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Cut into squares and serve with whipped topping or ice cream.
