The easiest garlic bread ever!

1 head garlic
1 teaspoon olive oil
4 slices whole-grain baguette
salt and pepper (to taste)

Preheat the over to 400ºF.
Trim the top off the head of garlic to expose the tops of the cloves, drizzle oil over them, sprinkle them with salt and pepper, and wrap the whole thing in aluminum foil. Roast the garlic in the oven for about 30 minutes, until the garlic is soft.
Toast the baguette slices.
Remove the garlic from the oven and gently squeeze the cloves from the skin. They should be very soft. Spread about 3 cloves on each slice of toasted baguette.
Tip: Roast the garlic up to a week in advance and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator!
